The Job:

The person will be responsible to process payments as per service levels and the delegation authority.

Key Accountability:

• Process IOUs and Petty cash reimbursements by ensuring timely and accurate payment for invoices.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external vendors, by addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues or disputes
• Reconcile accounts payable balances to vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Preparation of cost comparison related to Petty Cash & IOU related expenses and alert the management on relevant variances.
• Identify opportunities to improve the accounts payable process, such as implementing automation or streamlining workflows
• Solve queries related to the life operations team on Premium Collections, Bank reconciliations, premium reversing, providing comments on premium mismatching and escalate to senior team if required
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to fulfill all audit requirements and providing necessary information for the audit observations
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, such as aging reports, payment histories and vendor spend analysis
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations for payment processing

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Management from a recognized university. (Final Stage in ACCA/CIMA/ CA will be an added advantage)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Audit firm or in Finance department of a reputed company
• Previous work experience in the insurance industry would be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi task and work under pressure
• Self-motivated individual with ability to work in a team-based environment
