Lead Engineer – Transport Aggregation Network Planning
Job Description
Develop overall Metro Ethernet access network planning strategy, network design principles and annual budgets to deliver company strategic network leadership objectives together with business planning and strategy teams
- Lead and initiate ultra-reliable connectivity, higher quality of service (QoS) and enhanced customer experience in all dialog services to achieve business segments strategic targets
- Forecast the future network capacity, technology trends and generate project plans and handover it to project teams to executions while monitoring the delivery
- Drive overall network efficiency and ensure optimum capex investments through use of latest technology, digitization, automation, tools, and in line with Network strategy guidelines and recommendations
- Analyse and forecast the Metro Access ring utilisation for Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Annually, Annually time widows and initiate ring upgrades
- Ensure adequate port are available in CSR/OLT to allocate to Dialog mobile, Dialog Enterprise, DTI and DTV solutions by Project/Devops teams
- Plan for passive material requirements in related with Electronics related to CSR/OLT/ONT projects related in Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Annually, Annually
- Lead Physical fiber development plan accordance with optimisation of Ring topology and customer demand
- Responsible for developing accurate scopes and BoM,s for access network procurements
- Responsible for optimum usage of allocated budget in planning and designing the capacity expansion of Metro access network
- Responsible for providing and verification of design, BoQ’s and contracts documents in Metro Access network related procurement
- Utilise analytical tools for network and market trend analysis and liaise with business & other planning teams to accurately forecast on future network capacity & connectivity requirement
- Develop new products and services along with Business units and solutions teams
- Analyse and provide best optimised cost-effective timely solution to external customers
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical or any other similar qualification
- Master’s degree in engineering will be an added advantage
- 4+ Years work experience in Telecommunications
