Job Description
Manager Group Risk Management is responsible for developing, leading, and driving the implementation of the Group’s risk management framework.To ensure that group wide risk is managed effectively and comprehensively and identify potential threats and create plans to prevent and mitigate problems.To support the business within the group and as such requires the incumbent to collaborate with the management team and provide continues support across the group to enable and effectively carryout risk management activities.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead and drive risk management activities of the Group and provide practical, expert advise to support across the Organizations businesses to enable and ensure appropriate risk management. Facilitate in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing internal and external risks across the group and advising on maintaining an appropriate risk appetite.
- Be a specialist on the area of expertise, guide respective CEOs in carrying out independent risk assessment relating to key Corporate projects / activities.
- Have a high level of industry knowledge, monitor industry trends, risks relating to macro-economic, geopolitical, and emerging risks and guide and lead in proactively identifying potential threats to the Group’s operations and managing same.
- Lead, drive and advise senior management in the development of divisional risk management strategies,risk management implementation plans, risk control and response plans.
- Ensure risk assessments are carried out for major projects within the Group.
- Collaborate with the departmental heads to develop risk mitigation plans and effective implementation of same.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to the Management Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee highlighting key risks and proposed mitigation strategies and the Group’s risk position.
- Build risk quantification and qualification models and formulas to support the definition of risk appetite and tolerance levels.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 6 years overall work experience with 3 years at Managerial level and 3 years at Executive level experience in enterprise risk management.
OR
Full professional qualification with 6 years overall experience with 3 years at Managerial level and 3 years at Executive level work experience in enterprise risk management.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
The upper age limit should be 45 years as at the closing date 10th October 2023.
Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
