Job Description
SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modelling, business intelligence and business continuity. Focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach and improving customer experience by solutions design, development and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge.
The incumbent will be responsible for refining and implementing the new technology roadmap, integration of external systems, connecting technology partners and workflows, and bringing in new technology to allow for further development of digital services and insights to users and passengers.
Benchmarking internal IT systems and solutions with industry standards, analyse and arrive at value adding and scalable digital business products and services as quick wins and long-term solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carryout research and development in industry solutions. Conduct feasibility studies for adopting cost-effective technologies with the support of internal and external subject matter expertise for the organization in a flexible and cost-effective manner to enhance the productivity of the business process.
- Providing digitized solutions to enhance airline customer experience journey.
- Providing support in tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within IT teams.
- Leading system study, requirement capturing, Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation, technical evaluations, implementation, and subsequent enhancements for provided solutions.
- Study latest developments in IT industry and identify how those can be adopted by airline IT to improve efficiency & productivity.
- Negotiating with suppliers/vendors to select the most beneficial package for the airline.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems or Applied Statistics from a recognized University with a minimum of 01 year post qualifying relevant experience.
OR
Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 7 with 3 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline.
Age to be not more than 35 years as at 27th October 2023 which is the closing date.
