FACTORY MANAGER

Job Responsibilities

  • Overlook the Steel Fabrication Factory, by monitoring day-to-day progress and reviewing with relevant parties.
  • Plan, execute and prepare all schedules and share them with the Management and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Work closely with Managers, stakeholders and the Factory team in order to meet deadlines of the department and monitor the work schedules when needed.
  • Ensure maintaining the production cost within the estimated cost of production and monitor productivity rate in order to achieve annual budgets and keep/present the reports whenever required.
  • Keep the safety parameters in line with the requirements and ensure timely reports are maintained for Safety.
  • Set quality targets and improve the quality of products and ensure the customer orders are completed on time within the budget.
  • Assist and resolve any technical queries arising at the factory and escalate if any support is required.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar job role. (Preferably in the Steel building Fabrication Industry).
  • Local O/L 8 passes with ‘A’ or ‘B’ passes for Mathematics and English.
  • Strong negotiation and good communication skills in English and Sinhala.
  • Ability to work independently.
