SENIOR EXECUTIVE – FINANCIAL ACCOUTNING (MAS CAPITAL (PVT) LTD. – ACTIVE CENTER NAWALA)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Active – team as an Senior Executive Financial Accounting! This role would enable you to support the financial statements and related reconciliations in coordination with the internal and external auditing processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of financial accounting processes in compliance with corporate, statutory and legal requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with corporate, statutory and legal requirements and prepare financial statements, whilst ensuring adherence to set accounting standards/ practices for compliance purpose
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and handle interim / year end audits
  • Finalize the monthly overhead of the assigned manufacturing facility / business division / Shared service function
  • Liaise with accountants, lawyers, financial experts and regulatory bodies involved in transactions and assist with negotiations in order to maintain a proper structure of financial details
  • Preparation of annual budget of the assigned manufacturing facility / business division / Shared service function
  • Prepare an accurate Financial Best Estimate for the assigned manufacturing facility / business division / Shared service function
  • Work closely with the management of the division to manage overhead within the budget and to provide financial input in making key operational decisions
  • Ensure accuracy of the Fixed asset register of the assigned manufacturing facility / business division / Shared service function
  • Monitor/ review internal controls of the assigned manufacturing facility / business division / Shared service function and take corrective actions where required
  • Ensure timely clearing, reconciliations and reporting of the Balance sheet of the respective division is carried out in an orderly manner
  • Liaising with the HR Managers & payroll service providers in order to ensure that the payroll and the salaries are accurately accounted in a timely manner
  • Assist in managing inter-company transactions, credit control & debtors collection process
  • Prepare cheques for returns, obtain authorization from the relevant manager, forward the payments to the Inland Revenue Department within the specified timelines in order to adhere to statutory requirements
  • Provide required financial information on an adhoc basis with relevant recommendations as and when needed in order to facilitate management decision making process
  • Perform additional duties that commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Degree in Management/Finance/Accountancy 
  • CA/CIMA/ACCA fully qualified
  • High Level of competence in Excel
  • Experience in SAP preferred
  • Experience in handling a finance function in manufacturing environment for minimum 4 years
  • Experience in External Audit
  • Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting 
  • Experience in month end Financial finalization process.
