SENIOR ENGINEER – PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (BIYAGAMA)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Initiate the designing of the pad adhering to the following process to ensure the accuracy
  • Finalize the 3D profile based on the comments given by the customer
  • Guide to make plastic shots
  • Select the Raw materials
  • Arrange the lamination & decide the process to prepare cup
  • Provide required resources to planning team to book capacity 

or

• Initiate the designing of the Screen adhering to the following process to ensure the accuracy
  • Check and verify the pattern measurement given by pattern maker
  • Guide to make the screen
  • Select the Raw materials
  • Arrange the Silicone type & decide the process to prepare print
  • Provide required resources to planning team to book capacity
• Provide accurate & sufficient information at the design stage in order to ensure that moulds/Screens conform to the given instructions 
• Discuss & clear the comments with Customer to Grade, develop and submit size sets for the development of moulds in order to ensure uniformity of style 

or

• Discuss & clear the comments with pattern maker to develop and submit size sets for the development of moulds in order to ensure uniformity of style 
• Explain and submit required information to tech pack team to prepare BOM (Bill Of Material), in order to commence the production process
• Ensure that required raw materials are in housed at the right time in right quantities in right quality in order to ensure timely sampling and development timelines are met 
• Attending for fit sessions & provide suggestions to improve the product
• Request to plan the required capacity based on the demand for the entire T &A in order to achieve timeline
• Communicate required technical information & product deviation, internally and externally to align with the customer requirement
• Analyze and review the output of duplicating pads/prints and select relevant raw material
• Analyze the feasibility of new raw materials for new concepts & follow the procedure to finalize it
• Provide Solutions for technical issues at the development stage
• Provide necessary information to release moulds/screens to the quality, technical and maintenance teams to conduct a pilot run and to ensure the accuracy of the tech pack 
• Support to provide the required training for Executive & team members to give the required knowledge & skills to perform their duties successfully
• Analyze & review the output of each submissions and ensure to meet the required customer expectation regarding expected quality level
