Merchandiser – Sourcing
Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Active Center team as a Merchandiser – Sourcing! This role would enable you to facilitate the sourcing of Raw Material for allocated customer orders and ensure that the correct quantity of raw materials are in-house in a timely manner in order to facilitate the production process thereby, ensuring 100% completion of orders.

- Coordinate with the Finance team in order to ensure relevant payments are made to the suppliers in a timely manner whilst, ensuring that advance payments are made as and when the need arises [This includes: preparing letter of credit forecasts on a monthly basis in order to provide the suppliers with information on payments to be made thereby, facilitating their cashflow]
- Ensure that relevant raw material is sourced for the production process by performing activities such as the following in a timely manner in order to facilitate accurate completion of customer orders:
- Attend the weekly Merchandising meeting and provide information on material delivery status, discuss the freeze plan, buys, delays etc. whilst, highlighting issues in order to ensure all relevant parties are updated on the delivery status and necessary actions are taken to resolve issues
- Ensure invoices are checked against the packing lists and GRNs (Goods Received Notes) raised in the SAP system for goods received in order to ensure accuracy of same whilst, ensuring the system is updated in a timely manner
Knowledge and skills
- Diploma / Degree in relevant field or CIM as an equivalent professional qualification
- 1-2 years’ experience in Merchandising or a similar role
- Knowledge on MS Office Packages
