MERCHANDISER – DEVELOPMENT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify respective styles and volumes on receipt of the buy and carryout buy processing activities, forwarding details to relevant parties whilst updating information into the PLM system in a timely/ accurate manner, facilitating smooth operations and achieving operational KPIs.
  • Engage in the reporting process as and when required to facilitate the transfer of information to relevant parties (including the customer) while facilitating Management decision-making.
  • Contribute to implementing and sustaining Lean initiatives whilst driving Lean objectives to achieve the set KPIs and ensuring individual KPIs meet the required standards.
  • Participate in the Development meetings upon receipt of the prototype kit. 
  • Forward the information to relevant parties while ensuring raw materials are available in-house to deliver the prototype and embellishment developments to the customer promptly.
  • Prepare costing sheets, negotiate pricing terms, lead times and minimum production quantities, and coordinate with relevant parties until the costing is finalised.
  • Coordinate the CAM & CAF sample development process whilst sourcing fabric and other raw materials upon receipt of the request from the customer to ensure samples are completed and delivered promptly, thereby meeting customer expectations.
  • Process the Salesman Sample (SS) on receipt of the SS from the Customer whilst updating relevant information into the PLM system in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the practical completion of SS samples.
  • Liaise with Product Development Centre (PDC), Embellishment, Planning and Sourcing teams once the make plan is available, to ensure styles are ready for the next buy, by obtaining approval for fit, costing, embellishment, etc., whilst guaranteeing the completion of all relevant documentation.
  • Maintain good relationships with key decision makers of the respective customer and act proactively in identifying customer-specific solutions whilst implementing the same to provide a value-added service.

Qualifications: 

  • CIM or Similar Background or Relevant Degree.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar field.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, embellishments, styles, and samples.
  • IT literacy.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Planning & organising skills, etc.
