MERCHANDISER – BULK

With a vision to be the most compelling swimwear supplier in the world, MAS joined hands with Speedo International (UK) back in 2001, to form Linea Aqua – which has now grown into the force behind some of the world’s leading    swimwear brands. We are looking for a versatile and motivated individual to join our Linea Aqua team in Pelawatta as a ‘Merchandiser – Bulk’ to control the provision of overall merchandise to production as per agreed timelines by  negotiating, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders and final buyers – with the objective of on-time garment shipments. 

What will your job role look like?

· Create sales order lines in the system with customer order styles and communicate these styles to the planning team

· Follow up on raw material purchasing and negotiations with suppliers for best delivery dates – also following up with the customer T&A

· Follow up with raw material issuing departments until the goods reach production within agreed timelines

· Coordinate and communicate with production and quality teams whilst highlighting possible issues to relevant parties

· Monitor production end dates, follow up on finished garments from production to stores, while highlighting potential delivery slides to the  business and customer

· Check on cases where material in-house dates are not in line with the production plan & highlight them to the business  

Qualifications & Experience: 

· Degree in Marketing, Management or any other relevant field

· 2-3 years work experience in a similar capacity 

· SAP Knowledge will be an added advantage

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills

· Sound knowledge about apparel development/production processes
