Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Holding – Battaramulla as Management accountant To monitor the performance of the central functions through analysis, feasibility studying/ recommendations, cost saving initiatives and preparation of management reports, budgetary control and monitoring, thereby facilitating organizational decision making

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with, Financial Accounting (FA) team and Legato in order to ensure timely and accurate completion of month end accounts , whilst performing the following:
  1. Report comprehensive variance analysis to the General Manager
  2. Cost center wise revenue analysis 
  3. Facilitate power BI reporting by giving required information
  • Work closely with the functional team on the Long-Range Planning (LRP) Process and preparation of financial statement by closely connecting with various stakeholders
  • Central Functions Revenue Billing- Ensuring the completion of Quarterly revenue billing and reimbursement in a timely manner. Addressing the gaps in revenue to avoid revenue deviations against the plan/ budget.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Transfer Prcing documentation for compliance  (includes signed off the MSA)
  • Analyze and prepare Annual Budgets of the central functions in a timely manner thereby, ensuring the accuracy of information provided. 
  • Ensure diligent and timely preparation of the consolidated budget for MAS Capital & MAS Holdings.
  • Completion of the Annual Central Management Service fee, ensuring the accuracy of the charge out communications to the SBU’s
  • Reports / Presentations – Carrying out Operational reviews for all service functions to achieve the set objectives of each operation
  • Sharing monthly Management information across all central functions for value addition for decision making process 
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports such as the incentive schemes, evaluations in order to provide relevant information to the General Manager Finance for further decision-making
  • Preparation of power point decks for Director’s forum, Senior leadership forum etc.
  • Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) – Monitor and analyze the CAPEX Expenditure and provide relevant information to the management until the post evaluation
  • Raise CAPEX requests, obtain relevant authorization/ approvals and follow up on requests with relevant persons in order to ensure the timely receipt of goods
  • Actively participate in projects to ensure the stipulated process specially in the areas such as agreements, LOA’s, performance bonds are followed in the most beneficial manner to the company

Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Competencies:

  • Degree or equivelent qualification in Accounting such as CIMA
  • 3 – 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Conversant in using SAP
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Analytical Skills 
  • IT Literacy
