Fabric Technologist (Based at Biyagma)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Kreeda team as a Fabric Technologist! This role would enable you to carry out risk analysis & provide risk mitigation plans on all the materials used in KREEDA to eliminate bulk production down time due to material inherant quality issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct risk assessment of all materials at development stage.
- Provide risk mitigation plan for all risky materials within agreed timeline to avoid impact for bulk.
- Trialing out and validating the mitigation plans before starting the bulk to understand the production feasibility.
- Maintain the material risk log in a common folder for easy access for all relevant departments.
- Maintain a fabric hanger library of all bulk & sample running materials for KREEDA.
- Attend & give resolutions for the material issues identified in the KREEDA sample room.
- Monitor bulk issues and down time due to material issues to understand the effectiveness of the risk assessment process and continuous evolving of the process.
- Maintain a good contact with material quality assurance team in order to upgrade knowledge for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/company polices procedures, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
- Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to while actively contribute towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree/ Diploma in Textile & Clothing or relevant professional Qualification.
- 1 – 2 Years of relevant work experience (Experience in fabric mill/ manufacturing plant would be advantageous).
- Knowledge of Fabric defects & applications during garment manufacturing.
- Negotiation skills.
- IT Literacy.
