GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the technical team as a Garment Technologist (Executive Work Level). This role requires developing and validating the garment construction up to Bodyline’s capacity by meeting the development calendar. Work with the preproduction and production teams to ensure smooth knowledge transfer to the production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with technical teams (IE/ Bonding tech/ moulding/ pattern techs/ sewing supervisor & sample operators), bringing construction solutions, validating the given construction by IE in the development stage by working with the sample execution team, confirming that the garment is ready for durability conditions.
- Hold the responsibility of achieving the sample sewing plan execution whilst liaising with the relevant development technical & merchandising team.
- Work with pre-production/ production teams to transfer the product development knowledge into bulk production in an effective manner via accurate Ads and in relevant meetings & forums, which ensures the expected production performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in a subject related to garment technology and production.
- Minimum four years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge of production methods such as stitching and pattern–cutting.
- An understanding of manufacturing processes and textile properties.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of pattern-making, bonding, and mounding techniques are added advantages.
