EXECUTIVE – TECHNICAL OPERATIONS (ASIALINE,EMBILIPITIYA)

To provide technical advice and guidance by ensuring an accurate sample study is conducted in order to develop the most effective sewing methods and assist line feeding whilst ensuring quality requirements are met thereby facilitating the smooth functioning of the production process

Key Responsibilities 

• Analyze sketches, samples forwarded by the customer/ PDC, identify customer requirements, oversee the development of technical samples whilst providing advice such as the following in order to identify the most effective method for bulk production in accordance with customer requirements: 

1. Garment construction 
2. Pattern grading 
3. Handling & packing methods 
4. Identify critical operations 
5. Organizational capability in terms of skills

• Participate in the sampling stage for new styles by performing the following activities in order to ensure all samples meet customer specifications:

1. Attend PP meetings with relevant parties and discuss/ identify construction changes, measurement tolerance and issues related to the development of samples etc. in order to facilitate production 
2. Analyze pre-pre-production samples for new styles, identify possible production/ technical issues that could be encountered and propose preventive measures to make necessary adjustments for the bulk production process 
3. Prepare the “do ability sample” in the Method Study Lab whilst analyzing the critical operations in the style and providing advice on same 
4. Verify the accuracy of complete style information such as the tech pack, trim card, BOM etc. 
5. Prepare the necessary pattern adjustments to the style in consultation with PDC and customers whilst preparing for the preproduction stage 
6. Advise on the best method for the line layout

• Organize and participate in internal pre-production meetings with the team, explaining relevant information such as critical points, tech pack details, trim card etc. prior to the commencement of bulk production

Style Change Over 

1. Follow-up on machine pre-settings/ pre-training prior to the commencement of production by coordinating with the relevant departments/ teams 
2. Monitor the line feeding process and set targets to both team leaders and line feeders 
3. Follow-up on the line feeding process in order to ensure output meets the right quality & quantity

• Conduct a random check on garments during the bulk production process to ensure achievement of the required quality standards of the end product
• Analyze/ address issues such as the over consumption of material and carry out root cause analysis whilst ensuring the effective resolution of same in order to facilitate a smooth production process
• Coordinate with the team whilst directing and guiding them to resolve issues which may arise in areas such as Technical/ Cutting/ Patterns/ Consumption ensuring uninterrupted operations
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as SOPs, compliance standards, health and safety and 5S whilst leading MOS initiatives within the team
• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
