Executive – Industrial Engineering (Contourline, Pallakele)
Key Responsibilities
- Check the line loading plan and identify new/ repeat styles at the relevant modules whilst also, attending to the following when preparing for new styles:
- Re-check and confirm thread consumption
- Identify required attachments
- Participate at PP meetings and communicate on the thread consumption, SMV changes, labour requirements, pre-setting requirements and pre-training requirements with relevant persons
- Select Team Members for the lay out whilst, ensuring Team Leaders are allocated in a manner in which optimum use of skills could be achieved and facilitating the multi-skilling process for same
- Facilitate bulk production for new styles by carrying out the following:
- Stimulate the layout with relevant Team Leaders and the Mechanic
- Analyze line performance against calculated Standard Minute Values whilst, re-balancing lines to optimize the output
- Improve handling methods and work-place arrangements
- Identify bottlenecks/ select low performing operators whilst, carrying out time, capacity and production studies in order to enhance efficiencies thereby, improving productivity
- Ensure a smooth Style Change Over process takes place and drive team to achieve the set targets whilst, attending to the following:
- Follow-up on machine pre-settings/ pre-training prior to the commencement of production by coordinating with the relevant departments/ teams
- Monitor the line feeding process and drive teams to achieve efficiency targets in first 3 days
- Study each operator and prepare Yamazumi graphs for the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th days of operations on completion of the line feeding process for same
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as Standard Work Sheets, SOPs, Compliance, Health and Safety and 5S standards whilst, leading MOS initiatives within the team
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
Knowledge & Skills
- Degree/ Diploma in Industrial Engineering or a relevant field
- 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
- Good Communication/ Coordination skills
- Strong Analytical skills
