Embark on a journey of change with MAS Intimates by joining as an executive – Cutting. This role would enable you to coordinate with planning & production departments and monitor the all operations / processes of cutting department and ensure optimum utilization of cutting capacities in order to meet production requirements.

ECECUTIVE – CUTTING (MAWATHAGAMA)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Engage in developing STW with PPA team and conducting awareness and trainings to Team Leaders & Group Leaders
  • Attend pre-production meetings and educate the team with regard to the cutting operations such as style, cut methods in order to facilitate smooth operations
  • Execute daily & weekly cutting plan based on weekly/monthly loading together with IE and Senior Executive or Manager Cutting to meet production demand.
  • Monitor duties, guide and provide advice as required to cutting room staff, thereby, ensuring cut requirement specifications are met (E.g. lay planning, marker preparation, fabric handling, cutting process) whilst also educating the team on cutting, laying and sorting methods.
  • Ensure the daily plan is executed without any quality deviations such as fabric rejects, unapproved cut panels etc. to maintain continues flow.
  • Ensure cut sending plan meets the demand of embellishment requirement to keep the continues flow
  • Coordinate with Planning, PCU (Production Control Unit), Stores and fabric inspection teams to meet priorities orders.
  • Advise and evaluate appropriate methods to reduce material consumption in order to save fabric
  • Monitor administration duties of cutting department employees and attend to matters such as absenteeism, leave etc. in order to ensure smooth operations whilst, ensuring strict compliance to 5S, health and safety procedures
  • Establish and maintain relationships, develop the performance and competency levels of employees via required training interventions whilst, monitoring employee performance in an accurate and timely manner thereby, ensuring productivity is maintained together with a harmonious work environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably in Textile and Clothing 
  • Prior experience would be highly advantageous 
  • Strong analytical skills with an innovative mindset 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills 
  • Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing tools
