Director – Finance, Commercial & Projects – MAS Kreeda


Drive the Finance, Engineering Projects and Commercial & Logistics functions of the Division, providing guidance and advice to the teams and driving cost saving and other initiatives to improve the profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide direction to efforts of Management & Financial accounting and Treasury functions by facilitating effective leadership and strategic decisions whilst driving the accuracy/ timeliness of data to shareholders and relevant management for decision making purposes
  • Drive designated Engineering projects, ensuring project goals, tasks, budget allocations and resource requirements are met, and successfully completed whilst ensuring the best practices/successful project plans (learnings) are shared across the Kreeda Division and thereby enabling successful completion of future engineering projects
  • Lead and direct all efforts pertaining to the Commercial and Logistics Department by providing necessary guidance to make corrective policy decisions and resolving related issues to ensure Divisional standards are adhered to carry out required Export and Import activities to support the organization.
  • Monitor & evaluate business requirements and ensure the organizational budget is in-line with business plans whilst presenting the finalised budgets to the MAS Board of Directors and shareholders annually
  • Ensure timely review & monitoring of cash flow, capital expenditure and collection of sales proceeds and ensure all inter-company current accounts are reconciled
  • Provide direction to train finance staff and ensure knowledge and skill gaps are addressed according to the requirements of the roles performed
  • Drive/ participate in various projects/ initiatives to improve the systems/ processes, profitability and sales of the division
  • Establish, manage and update corporate governance practices and principles that guide the business and ensure its accountability to its stakeholders and its compliance
  • Embed risk management seamlessly into the organization’s culture through conscious adoption of the Group’s Enterprise-wide Risk Management framework
  • Act as a change agent to drive data driven decisions as a hygiene at MAS Kreeda by operationalizing the culture of decision-making using data; generating data-based revelations for strategic decision making for the leadership whilst building the required capabilities at the divisional level to establish and sustain data driven culture

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Full qualification in Finance (e.g. CIMA)/ Possessing an MBA degree would be advantageous
  • 6-7 years experience as a Financial controller at a business unit with overall knowledge of financial processes
  • Knowledge in the industry would be an advantageous
  • Aspiration to lead data and digital transformation within the organization
  • Problem solving Ethos with sound communication skills
  • Knowledge on lean (yellow belt or above)
