ASSISTANT MANAGER-BUSINESS ENTREPRENUER (MDS,RATHMALANA)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Intimates-Innovation team as an Assistant Manager – Business Entrepreneur. This role would enable you to support and drive the development of innovative concepts that can be generated from Consumer market research & analysis, current and future Business requirements and white spaces, whilst demonstrating the ability to work with management and cross functional teams to convert these to viable opportunities &product solutions thereby enabling the division to win more market share and achieve set objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Head of Product Innovation and management to execute strategies, milestones and department plans that are in alignment to the overall vision and mission of the division.
  • Support the leadership to create and execute department SOP, Strategies and LRP in order to effectively and efficiently achieve set business objectives.
  • Be proactive and possess a sustainable mindset by being up to date with global sustainable technologies, and innovations in order to support the business teams to meet customer requirement and win more business.
  • Support the team’s market share growth and goal achievement by outlining capabilities, analyzing competitors, securing existing platforms, identifying unmet needs, and maintaining up-to-date customer and market research.
  • Conduct consumer market research, create and manage an “Innovation Need Bank,” and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative product solutions that address business requirements.
  • Identify customer requirements and regularly conduct Brand/consumer research to be up to date on market opportunities and business needs, to ensure effective products are developed to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Together with the support and direction provided by Management & Leads, work independently to execute assigned projects by focusing to develop product solutions to support the business , consumer requirement covering “good, better and best category “within the stipulated timeframes.
  • Drive all cost related aspects including budgeting, BOM updates, costings and outlining business case related to product innovations projects to enable effective cost management, financial benefits and achievement of set objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with the team and key stakeholders to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders on elevated product solutions/ technology platforms to drive product pitch and support the business win more market and achieve its set objectives.
  • Analyse, explore, and drive to build a diverse pipeline of product platforms through technology capabilities aligning to the Intimates Product Turnaround strategy, in line with the Innovation Board (IB)and Intimates Innovation Management Team (IMT).
  • Supporting the strategic projects within the Product Innovation scope/ strategy, by working together with team members within the Product Innovation team and other stakeholders to deliver the set business objectives.
  • Support and guide Executives grade employees with activities such that they have the right capabilities to achieve set objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in business development/administration/marketing or equivalent with 4 years of industry knowledge.
  • Cross-functional experience is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in product knowledge, merchandising, business acumen, research analysis, project management, communication, branding, competition analysis, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
