Job overview 

As a Head of Manufacturing, your main responsibility is to lead and oversee the manufacturing process within a company. Your duties include developing and implementing manufacturing strategies that will improve efficiency, quality, and production output. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, supervising employees, and ensuring that all manufacturing processes are running smoothly. Additionally, you will develop and monitor budgets, manage inventory levels, and ensure that all safety and regulatory requirements are being met. You will work closely with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure that products are of the highest quality and meet customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing strategies that improve efficiency, quality, and output
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, including supervising employees and overseeing production schedules 
  • Ensuring that all manufacturing processes are running smoothly and meeting production targets
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure products meet customer expectations
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product quality and reduce waste
  • Hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team
  • Maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Creating and monitoring budgets, managing inventory levels, and responsible for formulation of the plant budget and execution to meet the budget
  • Identifying areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and implementing solutions
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization is utilizing the latest tools and technologies

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Chemistry or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Institute
  • Proven experience in similar capacity and preferably related to manufacture of rubber products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in project management and exposure to ERP system is a definite advantage 
  • Understanding of business process modeling and workflow diagramming
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Age below 45 Years 
  • Preference will be given to those who are from Katana or close by proximity 

Specific Experience: 05-10 Years experience in a management role

Overall experience: 03-05 Years experience in Leading a manufacturing plant or division
