Advantis 3PL The leader in Third Party Logistics in Sri Lanka; Advantis 3PL, a fully owned subsidiary of the Hayleys Advantis Group, is engaged in providing Logistics and Supply Chain Management Solutions to majority of the leading multi-national companies operating in Sri Lanka as well as local corporates. Advantis 3PL manages over 1,000,000 sq.ft of warehouse space for its prestigious clientele in Sri Lanka, and in India.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Implement appropriate 3PL concepts/models for business alignment with market changes.
Assist the Department Head in developing and implementing strategies for Logistics Solutions.
Set up and Implement selected logistics process projects/initiatives.
Develop cost/benefit trade-off analysis and ROI business cases for recommended projects.
Provide conceptualized logistics solutions to clients by understanding and analyzing customer requirements.
Set up detailed processes and controls for the operation in consultation with the operations team and clients to ensure a timely, accurate and error mitigated operation.
Carry out research and acquire knowledge on new trends, concepts, best practices, analytical tools etc.
Achieve sales targets by identifying target markets with the help of the Department Head on a planned basis.
Maintain relationships with existing customers to improve the retention of profitable customers.
Prepare and present sales reports as per the agreed timelines.
Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, agreements/contracts as and when required by the Divisional Head.
Actively participate in the marketing planning process by providing reliable information relating to external and internal environments to enhance the decision-making process.
Improve existing systems by studying current practices, identifying problem areas, recommend controls, procedures, best practices and solutions
Identification of opportunities and ways to convert business processes into automated systems
Planning and executing system user training, evaluations & composing user manuals.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
6 ‘Credit’ passes at the GCE O/L examination including Mathematics and English and 3 passes at the GCE A/L examination.
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferable in Logistics and/ or Supply Chain Management) or an equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in Executive grade, in a warehousing and distribution environment and exposure in to inventory management will be a definite advantage
Strong background in systems analysis, design, monitoring implementation, testing, Continuous Process Improvement and project management.
Sound knowledge in ERP & WMS
Ability to work with MS office packages
Strong analytical skills & excellent communication skills
