Job Responsibilities
- Ensure Quality Assurance oriented inspections carried out throughout the process of Incoming, Inprocess and final Inspection of Knitting and Manufacturing of Supported gloves as well as IG Nitrile Gloves
- Ensure relevant QMS in place as well as strict adherence to SOPs
- liaise with QC department head and ensure only Quality Assured incoming materials are used in the Production as well as in the TSPs
- Minimization of cost of incoming inspection through QA process which contributes to quality of finished products
- Ensuring the products meet mutually agreed respective standard of Quality
- Supervise team of inspectors who carry out the detailed assessment of products and their components and different style of production
- Develop and monitor continual improvement programs in Glove and liners aiming to reduce no of defects and improve the level of quality.
- Analyze the customer complaints and identify specific problems or trends over time.
- Review statistical data from production lines to identify quality problems
Person’s Profile
- A bachelor’s degree preferably from quality management, polymer science, chemistry , Textile from a recognized University
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in a Manufacturing company
- Knowledge on ISO 2859-1 Inspections system
- Sound knowledge in Glove Industry/Textile/Yarn Technology and knitting operations would be added advantage.
- Knowledge in product testing Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English and Sinhala
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong results orientation
- Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments
