Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance

Job Summary: Responsible for implementing and improving quality management system of the company aligned with ISO 9001: 2015 and SLSI [PD1] standards while leading the entire quality assurance department, complying with standard operational procedures, adhering to the internal controls and managing departmental resources in order to achieve the expected quality[PD2]  level and profitability of products manufactured. 

The main job functions of this position will include, 

  • Implement and improve quality management system of the company aligned to ISO 9001: 2015 and SLSI[PD3]  and other applicable quality standards.
  • Ensure that plant incoming, in-process and final testing procedures are properly carried out and corrective and preventive action plans relating to quality assurance of the production process are being implemented.
  • Review statistical data from the production operation, identify quality related issues in the processes, analyze information and recommend changes to improve the quality management process.
  • Ensure document management procedure aligned to company QMS
  • Regularly evaluate the quality management system by carrying out internal quality system / process / product audits and define and execute corrective actions.
  • Ensure the internal calibration procedure and environmental testing are carried our as required.

We seek a dedicated, result oriented young individual with highest level of leadership, commitment, communication skills and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position.

The suitable candidate should possess,

  • B. Sc. Degree in Production / Materials / Chemical / Mechanical / Process Engineering / Science from a recognized University. 
  • Professional qualification in Quality Management from Sri Lanka Standards Institute 
  • Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ working experience at an Executive grade in a leading export manufacturing organization attached to Quality Assurance function.
  • Sound knowledge in ISO 9001:2015, SLSI[PD4]  Certification schemes, QMS documentation & related procedure and process controlling tools. 
  • Lead auditor qualification in ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
  • Auditing experience will be a definite advantage 
  • Age should be below 35 years.
