Key Responsibilities
- Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements whilst ensuring financials are in line with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (LKFRS)/ and JKH policies.
- Coordinate and complete the statutory annual audit of the financial statements as per Group timelines.
- Review of monthly management information and other monthly/quarterly reports compiled by the Finance Department.
- Coordinate and complete annual plans, reforecasts, best estimates, and other Group reporting as per the stipulated timelines.
- Review of Income Tax, Deferred Tax and other tax computations / schedules and being in-charge of taxation including liaising with IRD and other tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory provisions/requirements affecting the Company.
- Review of legal contracts entered by the company and evaluating business impacts, both financial and non-financial, from thereon.
- Work capital management including the maintenance of banking relationships.
- Managing and liaising on all company insurance matters.
- Review payroll and authorize the payments.
- Monitor & analyze vendor payments and liaise with vendors whenever necessary.
- Review of all internal controls, both financial and operational and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate & complete Internal Audit Reports submitted by internal / external auditors.
Person Specifications
The ideal candidate should possess.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a senior finance position.
- A member / Passed Finalist of ICASL, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Sound knowledge in Financial and Management Accounting with Consolidation experience.
- Good knowledge in SAP Modules.
- Thorough knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting standards and tax laws.
- Experience in collaborating with external auditors to finalize accounts.
- Good communication skills
