Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive – Logistics. The position exists to assist for primary distribution of ice cream; assist to provide transport to employees (contractor passenger transport); assist in forklift operation; assist to maintenance of company vehicles, assist to manage payments relating to transportation and local purchases within statutory and organizational guidelines
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Assist to plan out routes as well as operation and maintenance in order to deliver ice cream as per the plan by sales division and distributors in a timely manner.
- Assist to plan out routes and provide transport for employees in a cost-effective manner in order to ensure all relevant employees have transport in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Assist to plan distribtuion and route planning via hired trucks, check and verify hired cost vendor wise.
- Assist to ensure adherence to quality parameters tempestuous monitoring, decrease crate damages.
- Ensure the road safety guidelines while planning routes, frequent audit of passenger transport vehicles, minimize accidents and report near misses.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Transportation and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management with minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in logistics & fleet management including labour handling.
- Business Understanding in Fleet management in a large-scale operation, world trends in effective fleet management.
- Sound knowledge of labour handling, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Methodology, Health and Safety legislations.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work extra hours and Holidays will be an additional advantage.
