Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive – Logistics. The position exists to Ensure that the Inventory Management of entire Soft Drink warehouses including finish goods and Empty bottle warehouse. Also be responsible for all finished goods in the Soft Drink category including Milk and drinking water.
Also be responsible and accountable for all inventory and make sure that the Soft Drink loading operation carried out to enhance the customer satisfaction by minimizing the errors while trucks are being loaded and efficient production receiving to the main warehouse from the production area and several outside production facilities and maintain the accountability by minimizing the discrepancies.
Also be responsible for SAP system reconciliation, periodic cycle counts, monthly stock counts and proper maintaining of inventory records.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the entire inventory management function of full bottles stocks and empty bottle stock receiving and issuing from the warehouse to the dealers maintaining FIFO.
- Responsible for stock variances.
- Responsible for the entire finished goods stocks and the management of stocks to maintain FIFO.
- Responsible for the entire soft drink loading operation of the company owned & outsourced transporters.
- Responsible for the error free loading pertaining to the each distributor’s loads which were sent from the Ranala warehouse.
- Responsible for the truck turnaround time
- Responsible for the physical quality maintaining factors, condition of the truck, goods and physical conditions.
- Responsible for the inventory management of Ice Cream stocks which is available in the Ranala cold room and outside hired cold rooms.
- Responsible for the operational excellence in the entire operation in Logistic Department.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Logistics Management / warehouse management or equivalent with relevant experience in logistics management in a FMCG company.
- Business understanding of the Critical Processes involved in a warehouse operation.
- Sound Knowledge in Transport management, Warehouse management, Production systems, health and safety systems, financial knowledge and modern process technology.
- Ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements.
- Communication skills, interpersonal relations and leadership and motivational skills.
