Assistant Manager – International Sales and Trade Compliance
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), the manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams, is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager – International Sales and Trade Compliance. The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of our international operations. This person will possess expertise in managing export operations, obtaining regulatory approvals, collaborating with government stakeholders, handling shipping logistics, and ensuring exceptional customer service when dealing with international buyers.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Support and enhance international sales efforts by engaging with customers, providing information on products and services, and facilitating order processing.
- Oversee customer support and ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement to delivery, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues.
- Manage end-to-end export operations, including preparing and processing export documentation, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to international markets.
- Work closely with government bodies to obtain necessary regulatory approvals for products and services, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements (e.g.: TIEP).
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant trade laws, regulations, and policies, mitigating potential risks and maintaining impeccable compliance standards.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to international trade operations, record-keeping, and data analysis.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Possess a degree in International Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- A comprehensive understanding of global trade dynamics and supply chain processes.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in Export and International trade operations.
- Knowledge of International Marketing and Trade Practices and Regulatory framework in assigned territories (preferably in FMCG), understanding of market entry and route-to-market strategies.
- Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, Basic knowledge of finance, Analytical skills
- Communication / Analytical Skills / Time Management / Team Player / Positive Attitude / Strategic Ability and sound business judgement
