Key purpose of the Job
As a Senior Executive – Industrial Engineering, you will be reporting to the Manager – Industrial Engineering of the CBU. The Front-End Industrial Engineer carries out Industrial Engineering activities in the product development phase. Key responsibilities include carrying out costing SMV calculations and preparation and maintenance of records and documentation. Additionally, the role-holder also maintains required documentation and prepares GSD breakdown for handover to Plant teams. You will also support the company’s future and help drive the Brandix values and culture across to all its employees. You will have better knowledge of Automation/Innovation and the Kaizen improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in product development activities to understand and analyze new styles
- Responsible for accurate calculations of GSD SMV, Thread consumption for different stages of Product Development and costing
- Yamazumi/Layout preparation with minimize the balancing loss
- Kaizen/Automation and the innovations drive of respective customers
- Attend pre-production discussions, ensure effective communication of technical details of new styles to Plant IE teams, and coordinate with Plant IE on achievement of production efficiencies
- Cost re-engineering with production feasible methods/Front end and Back end
- Customer communications and the product presentation
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Diploma in Industrial Engineering/ Clothing Technology with GSD Licence
Experience
GSD License is a must.
Project management and Lean manufacturing process
Automations/Sewing Machinery knowledge is added advantage
3 to 4+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
