Key purpose of the Job
The Group Customer Design Lead drives achievement of the design objectives for the assigned customer(s) across the group, in collaboration with the internal teams (SBU / Corporate) and customers. Includes design strategies, institutionalization of innovation culture and achievement of key customer design objectives, including design hit rate, development lead time, revenue from new designs, profitability, CRI, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead formulation of the design strategy for the assigned customers across the group, in collaboration with the internal teams and customers.
2. Manage relationships with Customers for achievement of strategic group customer design deliverables (for example, product innovation, new business development, LRP, CRI).
3. Lead synergies with the internal Design teams and CFTs across the group (SBU / Corporate) for achievement of key design objectives, including design hit rate, development lead time, revenues from new design, profitability, etc.
4. Drive institutionalization of Innovation culture across the group, including fashion trend updates, market intelligence, design collaborations, etc.
5. Coach and Mentor the Design & Development teams across the SBUs for realization of the group customer design deliverables.
Education
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree/ MBA in Fashion Designing or Clothing Technology or any other relevant stream
Experience
10 to 12+ years’ experience in apparel design & development
