Key purpose of the Job
The Automation Engineer carries out Design/Develop automation solutions, Simulate prototype modules and implement to Bulk manufacturing to improve SMV , cost and Throughput time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with IE and Technical team and suggesting the simplified automated construction methods to business based on the samples/sketch received.
- Designing, programming, simulating and testing automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks
- Ensuring all automations agreed to are completed on time for sampling or bulk.
- Working closely with outside suppliers and aligning them to the business requirements.
- Liaising with outside workshops and completing tasks on agreed T & A.
- Preparing the monthly project plan along with the estimated project cost and obtaining the approval from IE & Finance Department. Preparing the month -end presentation to the management
- Following up the developed automations until implemented to the bulk. Ensuring flawless execution from development to handover.
- Reviewing the next season’s development products and applying possible automation solutions.
- Reviewing bulk production common operations and implementing possible automation solutions to improve the throughput time.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Experience
Possess knowledge in QA practices, Industrial Engineering and Automation and Innovation
